A Neutral, Unbiased, Knowledgeable Look ...

The Systems Review gives you a neutral and unbiased look at your one-stop centers, their staff and partners, and the facilities, programs, services, and resources. Systems Reviews are conducted for each participating one-stop career center by certified workforce development professionals with many years of experience and proven expertise in the field.

A Familiar Format ...

While the process is unique to the "One Stop Secret Shopper" program, the Systems Review for each of your one-stops will be similar in content and scope to what they might experience during the chartering or re-chartering process. Of course, we conduct the Systems Reviews more quickly, but the instruments we use are similar to what you would find with chartering or re-chartering.

Pros and Cons ...

When we conduct Systems Reviews, we are looking for what your one-stop centers are already doing very well. We are also looking for what they would appear to be able to improve upon. Simply stated, we are looking for the pros and cons of each one-stop career center through the eyes of a trained workforce development professional.

Best Practices ...

Every one-stop is different, and all are unique. Nevertheless, best practices in other one-stop career centers could be borrowed and adapted to your one-stops. Our team has literally traveled from coast-to-coast, conducting mystery shopping programs and training staff and partners. We have seen a lot of one-stop career centers, and we have observed many uniquely wonderful practices. One of the things we do when we conduct a Systems Review is look at ways that some of these best practices could possibly be adapted to your own local area and one-stops.

Getting to Know You ...

The Systems Review accomplishes one other important feature. It enables us to get to know you and your one-stops better. That's important.

  • As we review data from mystery shoppers later, it helps us put their evaluations into the proper context when we know what you do and how the mystery shoppers react to those activities.
  • When we conduct the virtual focus groups with your one-stop operators, it also helps us clarify what they believe are strengths and limitations in their one-stop centers.
  • And, when we facilitate your end-of-program retreat and prepare to coach your one-stop operators for continuous improvement action steps, it helps us know what direction to lead them in.

The Systems Review is a very valuable component of the "One Stop Secret Shopper" program.
